Our Sekai
"Our Sekai" is a published zine inspired by Project Sekai: Colorful Stage, celebrating its characters through the lens of global exploration. The zine highlights their journeys to various countries, immersing them in unique cultural elements such as historical landmarks, festivals, cuisine, and fashion.
This project began with an open call to artists and writers worldwide, inviting them to share their personal experiences and interpretations of different countries. Selected contributors illustrated and wrote about the characters engaging with the distinct cultural identity of each destination.
I led the development of the zine's visual identity and designed the layout for its 70+ pages, ensuring a cohesive and engaging presentation.

Our Sekai’s visual branding was inspired by the process of traveling and the activities we seek while abroad. The text was influenced by the bold, clear, san serif signage you would find while navigating airports. I combined this with detailed illustrations with noticeable textures to inspire the artists we would accept for this project.
